Ashra-am Baird is a location in Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy.
Its name be derived from the Hebrew word ‘Ashra’; meaning Blessed or Fortunate, and the Scottish word ‘Baird’; meaning Poet. Ashra-am Baird is known as the Royal Capital, and is situated far from across the seas from Kurken Island. It is the primary location for the events of Atelier Ryza 2, and home to a host of new and returning characters.
Locations[]
The Royal Capital is comprised of four key districts, but in-game, several smaller areas can be accessed and fast-traveled to once discovered.
Erster Central District[]
The entrance to the city leads into this district. A string of market stalls lines long street that trails all the way to a beautiful central fountain. At the far end of the busy road, just before turning into the city centre, a shop belonging to Romy Voler can be found. The Erster Central District is also home to a well-known Café, run by the ever-cheerful Zephine Baudouin. Not too far from the Café is an apartment building, where one such room has been loaned to Ryza by Volker Abelheim, which she uses as her Atelier during her stay in the Capital. Klaudia can also often be found hanging about here during her character events.
Weisheit Academy District[]
The western-most district is home to the prestigious Academy in which Tao and Bos study together. Not too far from the Academy is the Abelheim Manor, where Patricia and her father Volker live.
Rauch Artisan District[]
South from the town centre is the Rauch Artisan District, where Empel and Lila are often found during their time in the Capital. It is the city’s focal point of ingenuity and craftsmanship, and many blacksmith and armorers’ shops are set up here. Not the least of which is Dennis’s Workshop, where Ryza can upgrade her weapons.
Klares Farming District[]
A short distance north of the central fountain is the Klares Farming District, the agricultural heart of Ashra-am Baird. The large farmland own by Cassandra and her four sisters can be found here. Serri can also be seen wandering this area, as she enjoys the calming feeling being close to nature brings.
