Captain Backen is a character in Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings.
A glorious pirate standing above the rest of the pirates. He lives in the painting world of The Treasury at the Sea Bottom, vigilantly protecting his treasure even after his body has decayed. Backen's tone may be harsh, but deep down, he is cheerful and friendly.
