Edel Hangstein is a character in Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey.
Edel is the mayor of Reisenberg, and the examiner of the alchemy license test. She is an licensed alchemist herself as well.
Edel took over the position of mayor after her father's retirement and is very popular with the citizens. She's skilled in both economics and politics, quick-witted and does things with utmost effort. However, occasionaly her calm composure breaks and she gets very upset. Her efforts to improve her city sometimes turn unreasonable.
She is a childhood friend of Nanna Tremmel and can see through her business schemes.
Role
Edel appears in connection to the alchemist exam in the main storyline. Outside of the main storyline, there are quests and events related to her as well.
She can be found in Reisenberg.
