Gerhard is a character in Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland.
Gerhard lives in the town of Alanya and works as a bartender at the Glorious Tavern. He's been a friend of the Helmold family for many years. He tells Totori that her mother ran up a tab so high that it put him into the red. He likes to tell Totori stories about her mother, but doesn't like to talk much about the circumstances behind her disappearance. Due to his tavern generally having a low clientele, Gerhard is always looking for ways to improve his establishment's prestige, eventually providing a questline in which he employs Totori to new types of alcoholic drinks that he hopes will bring in more customers.
Totori can take requests from Gerhard at the bar while visiting Alanya. Cecilia also starts to work at the bar after Totori starts her adventure.
Trivia[]
- Gerhard shares a voice actor with Hagel Boldness in both the English and Japanese versions of the game, leading to a pair of character events in which Hagel becomes obsessed with him upon hearing about him from Totori and even travels down to Alanya so the two can meet in person.
