Liane Mistlud is a character in Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey and Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings.
Liane is the older sister of Firis Mistlud. As she's an excellent hunter, she is one of the few people who can leave the town of Ertona.
She deeply loves her younger sister and her doting nature is famous among the village. Being sympathetic to Firis's wish to leave the village, she's secretly worried about her younger sister's current circumstances.
Role[]
Atelier Firis[]
It is revealed that Liane is not Firis' sister by blood. The earring she wears was given to her by her late biological mother. Liane then became a hunter to be able to go outside Ertona and search for her birthplace, hoping it would be full of greenery.
In Liane's character events, Firis and Liane set out to find her true birthplace. Tracking the materials of Liane's earring, they arrive at Grau Tal and talk to Norbert Classen. Norbert reveals that he used to live in the same place and gives them a map. However, it turns out that Liane's birthplace is nothing like she expected, as it is a desert wasteland.
They find out that the village was destroyed by a mighty dragon, and Liane decides to take revenge so that no more places will be destroyed by it. After finding out the truth and defeating the dragon together with Firis, Liane stays with her adopted family.
Atelier Lydie & Suelle[]
By the time of this entry's events, 4 years will have passed and Liane's love for her little sister has grown beyond what had come before. To help out her sibling's Atelier, Liane sets up her own shop called "Lovely Firis" where she sells off anything she finds and hunts down.
Much like the fellow returning heroine, Sophie, she'll try to help the Malen twins as much as possible and give out some of her own advice to the sisters. Because of her growing love for Firis, she will now constantly ramble about her love of her baby sister if Firis comes up in conversation. While Firis still loves her as family, she has grown displeased with the obsessive-like behaviour that Liane shows.
