Melvia Siebel is a supporting character in Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland.

Melvia (more commonly referred to as "Mel") is an experienced adventurer gifted with the ability of abnormally freakish strength. She grew up in the village of Alanya and is the best friend of Cecilia Helmold, who she has a great attachment to. Because of her strength, Mel doesn't know what it's like to be weak and wants to protect others around her. Although she watches out for others, she herself is often very reckless, and charges head first into situations. She is proud of her skills, and cocky about her strength.

Melvia became an adventurer several years before the events of Atelier Totori. When she first started, she recieved training from Sterk, who will later complain that Melvia never listened and often slacked off. She enjoys being an adventurer, but doesn't enjoy working, and is rarely seen doing any tasks for the Adventurer Guild. She does things on her own time, and enjoys having fun. She likes to teasingly make fun of people, especially Peter, whom she grew up with. She now dislikes him for his cowardice, and for not being able to tell Ceci how he feels about her.

Although Melvia is brutally honest, she doesn't like to see people (especially those she cares for) intentionally hurt. When Totori begins her adventure, Melvia offers her assistance, as she knows that Totori is new to the world of adventuring. Knowing what happened to Totori's mother Gisela, Melvia wants to protect Totori more then ever.

Atelier Totori[]

Melvia is the second character that you're able to recruit after Gino. She can be found inside Gerhard's Bar if the player wishes to recruit her. Early on, she is extremely useful, as she makes up for the lack of strength from Gino and Totori.

Totori will eventually ask Mel what kind of adventurer her mother was. Mel will lie to Totori and say that she doesn't really know. Totori decides to investigate, and asks the other townspeople. Melvia then reveals that the town is conspiring to keep the truth of her mother secret. This revelation will start the quest that will lead Totori to eventually build a ship to go in search of her mother.

Melvia can be asked to participate in the swimsuit contest held in Year 6 at Alanya Village. Melvia and Totori can invite Ceci to come to areas outside Alanya Village to adventure with them later on in the game. There are several in game events that can be witnessed by befriending Melvia, and she also has her own unique game ending.

Atelier Meruru[]

Melvia doesn't actually appear physically in Atelier Meruru, but it is mentioned that she is still working as an adventurer in Alanya, now teamed up with Gisela.

Atelier Lulua[]

Melvia does not appear in the game, but was the first person to sign the autograph book owned by Jeltje Jeremies.
