Nelke (NELL-kuh)[1] von Lestamm is the protagonist of Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World. She also makes an appearance in the DX version of Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings.
Nelke is a prodigy and aristocrat. She graduated as top of her class, but does not seem to possess any talent for alchemy. Nelke is now trying to make the world a better place through her position as a noble instead.

Etymology[]
The name "Nelke" is of German origin and translates to "clove" or "carnation". In the real world, it is mostly used as a last name rather than a first name, such as by Alexander Nelke, an Estonian-American artist.
