'''Patricia Abelheim''' is a playable character in ''[[Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy]]'' and ''[[Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key]]''.

Known by her close friends as 'Patty', she is the only daughter of the Abelheim Family, and heir to their fortune. Her father is extraordinarily strict when it comes to her behavior and etiquette, and even went so far as to hire her a personal tutor to ensure Patricia excelled in her studies. That tutor turns out to be Tao Mongarten.
==Role - Character Events==
By the time Ryza arrives in the Capital and first meets Patricia, it is made very clear that the noblewoman has quite a large crush on her tutor, Tao. As the two get to know each other, Ryza admits she's a touch envious of Patty's life of luxury as a noble, but Patricia assures her it isn't all sunshine and rainbows.

Upon realizing that Tao and Ryza are close childhood friends, she begins to develop a jealously towards Ryza, worrying she may be a threat to her relationship with Tao. Of course, Ryza has no romantic interest in Tao, but Patty is unable to voice her concerns out of awkwardness, and remains quietly observant as the situation unfolds.

Patricia and Tao spend a large amount of their personal time together, even outside of their student/teacher relationship. However, this becomes a problem when her father hears rumors that she had been 'hanging out' with Tao - a commoner - so recreationally. He worries such association with the lower class will damage the Abelheim reputation, and fires Tao as Patty's tutor, forbidding his daughter to spend any more time with him.

At the moment of Volker Abelheim's outburst, Ryza is visiting Patty, and witness the whole event. She urges the noblewoman to stand up for herself, but Patricia decides it better to submit to the will of her father, claiming she has no power to argue against him. Ryza decides that simply will not slide, and prepares a magical elixir using alchemy that will give Patricia the confidence she needs to stand up to her father. Of course, the elixir is merely placebo, but it works none the less. 

The next day Ryza pays a visit to the Abelheim Manor, only to find Patricia and her father in a screaming match. The young heir stands up for what she believes in, asserting that she disagrees with his ideals on what behaviour is "acceptable" and "becoming of a noble", and that Tao has done nothing wrong. It is in this moment that she also confesses to Volker her feelings for Tao. Realizing that he is standing in the way of his daughter's happiness, Mr. Abelheim gives in, and apologizes to his daughter profusely. He expresses that he only ever wanted to give her the brightest future possible, but has now realized he was only hindering it. The two share a hug and make up, and Patty's father tells her she can continue seeing Tao.

As Ryza and Patricia are on their way to find Tao, Patty admits she knew the elixir was a fake medicine, but it didn't matter. The mere gesture of Ryza trying to help Patty made her realize something important, which in turn, gave her the strength to speak her mind. It's during this conversation that Ryza expresses that she's rooting for Patty, which finally makes the noblewoman realize that the alchemist never had feelings for Tao.

The two finally track him down, and Patty takes him by the hand and embraces him, delivering the good news that he is no longer fired, and that they can continue seeing each other. Tao only scratches his head in confusion, not realizing he was even fired in the first place.

Patricia's active and passive abilities focus on increasing Critical Hit Rates and dealing additional damage during Critical Hits. She can also inflict Burn and ATK Cut to enemies, proving useful for additional damage and reducing damage taken by opponents. With Talon Zapper, Patricia additionally becomes a great combo finisher with larger party chains, and especially at Tactics Level 5 with bonus damage and a large amount of AP at your disposal. Overall, Patty is a powerful character with strong attacks, bonus damage through Critical Hits, and great for topping off long party chains.
