Theofratus Aurelius was a proclaimed legendary alchemist in Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis and is the only known alchemist to have created life in the form of an artificial mana.
Story[]
Theofratus was the alchemist responsible for creating Vayne and was considered a legendary genius; by many of his colleges. Not much was known about him or how he was able to create life; but he was the one to attempt to cure Jess's illness as a child and had ended up shortening her lifespan.
It is said that; he began going mad; when he had realized how little he could actually do for humanity and how insignificant he really was. When he was a traveling doctor, he had found Sulpher as a kitten and had cared for him; until his dying day. It was; when he had finished creating Vayne that; he had; made one wish for himself that; wish he; made was to die and it was said; by Isolde and Sulpher that; the two of them were lovers; before his death.
Trivia[]
- Theofratus Aurelius has not actually any visual appearances in the game at all; but we can assume that; he looks like Vayne Aurelius from Isolde Schelling's words and the fact people thought that he was his father.
- Theofratus' last name may have been based off the famed alchemist Theophrastus Aureolus, who's last name is another spelling and pronunciation of Aurelius and was the original last name in the Japanese release.
